While I do my best to try to present the ideas I write about as clearly as possible, I am well aware, as the old saying goes, that I have much to be modest about! So, please, ask questions if you have any, and disagree with me if you think I am mistaken. As Jefferson famously said- "Opinions arrived at after solitary contemplation are seldom, in the first instance, correct." Jefferson believed in the power of public debate and discussion, and so do I.
I am not interested in being an authority, I am interested in seeking truth and promoting Liberty, and you, gentle reader, are an important part of that quest. I seek to re-establish the uniquely American tradition of an educated, intelligent people who question authority, exercise personal independence, and are very suspicious of any government. I am trying to "strike sparks in the minds of my countrymen." So, please, if you have questions, ask them; if you do, I am certain that many others have the same ones. If you wish to make your inquiry private, send me an email or simply give me your email in your comment. I hope to hear from more of you in the days ahead.
With regard to all who serve the Light,
Historian
